St George’s Day Parade 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are looking forward to taking part in this year’s St George’s Day Parade in Romsey. Please find the key details below:

📅 Event Details

• Date: Sunday 19th April 2026

• Drop-off: 2:00pm at Abbey Green

• Pick-up: 4:15pm from Abbey Green

🚶 What Will Happen?

Young people will:

• Take part in a parade through Romsey town centre

• Attend a special service at Romsey Abbey

• Renew their Scout/Guide Promise

👕 What to Wear

• Full, correct uniform must be worn

• Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather

📍 Important Parent Information

• Parents and carers are welcome to watch the parade along the route after drop-off

• Please note:

  • You will not be able to enter the Abbey until all young people are seated

  • We kindly ask that no parents wait on Abbey Green until after the event has finished

• Collection will be from Abbey Green at 4:15pm

🤝 Scouts & Guides Members

If your child is part of both Scouting and Guiding, they:

• May take part in both promises

• Can choose which group to parade with

📲 Sign-Up (OSM)

• Please sign your child up via OSM

• Ensure you complete any medical or dietary information if required
