Cubs

The 21st Romsey Cubs is for 8 to 10½ year old boys and girls in the Nursling & Rownhams area.

We meet at the Peter Digby Scouting Centre on a Tuesday and Thursday night from 6.30pm to 8.00pm during term time. Anyone who is interested in joining please use the join section on our website.

Section Leader:

Ronnie Thomas – Tuesday night leader, or Bethan Cowley – Thursday night leader by using the form on the join us page

We run a varied, enjoyable program aimed at achieving various activity badges, developing interest in the world around us, making friends, and most of all having fun!

We aim to offer one weekend camp during the summer term, plus occasional visits throughout the year.

It’s not all hard work though – we also have games evenings, cooking and craft evenings too! There are also several District events for Cubs to get involved in.

Parents are requested to help at a Cub meeting once a term, and are more than welcome to get involved in other ways. Perhaps in administration or some area of specialist knowledge – many of you have skills we can make use of!

We attend the annual Remembrance Sunday service at St Johns Church in Rownhams and the St George’s Day parade in Romsey, we always encourage full attendance at these events.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
