Romsey District Camp – May 2025 – Expression of interest OSM event – LOGO COMPETITION

The Romsey District Leaders are delighted to extend an invitation to your child to participate in an opportunity to attend our District Camp ‘Romboree’ during the May half term in 2025. We understand that this may mark your child’s first time away from home or perhaps their fiftieth night away from home, However, any camp maybe quite daunting as a parent, allowing your child to attend camp. However, rest assured that they will have an exceptional experience, forging new friendships and engaging in a multitude of new activities.

The camp will be held at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre, located at Beaulieu Road, Brockenhurst, Hampshire, from Friday, 23rd May 2025, to Monday, 26th May 2025.

Logo Competition: We are seeking a captivating and fun camp logo to feature on our materials, online platforms, and T-shirts or Neckerchiefs. We invite your child to design this logo. Entry details are as follows:

Closing date: Sunday, 30th June 2024. Submissions can be sent via email to chair@romseyscouts.org or by post to Dr. Peter Centre, for the attention of Claire Sutton. Entries may be physical (using paint, crayons, etc.) or electronic (JPEG, PDF, PNG). They can be of any size, although we recommend no smaller than A4 to ensure adequate resolution for electronic printing. The winning entry will be selected by a panel and the winner will:

• Have the privilege of seeing their design featured prominently throughout the camp, and will receive an additional T-shirt or neckerchief.
• Receive a £40 Go Outdoors voucher.
• Be presented with a certificate by the District Commissioner at camp, in recognition of their

  achievement.

  A residential visit offers significant benefits, providing young people with the opportunity to embrace new challenges, enhance self-confidence, and foster new relationships within their groups and among the wider community of individuals they will encounter from other groups within the Romsey District.

  We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome your child to camp, where they will experience fun, adventure, and acquire lifelong skills.
