38th National Scout Rifle Championships

After finding out about the event at the open day at Fernycrofts this gave us only 2 weeks to arrange a team, check the requirements and enter our application. Amazingly we managed this. We took 6 Scouts and 1 Cub on a link to Scouts. We were all quite nervous about the weekend of what to expect and the level of the other competitors.

We only entered the main event which comprised of 6yd Air Rifle (Using S200 and MPR rifles), 6yd Pistol (using air arms alpha), the knockout competition (using Gamo Delta or Gamo Forest) and Field target (using various break barrel & underlever rifles)

Everyone who attended said they thoroughly enjoyed the event and would like to attend again.

We were pleasantly suprised when the results were released and we found out that we came 13th out of 76 in the 6yd Air Rifle team and 37th in the Pistol team competitions.

Well done to the scouts who came along, Nathan, Jonathan, Lauren, Hollie, Alex, Bradley and Matthew and to the Leaders Pam & Steve and to Katrina for assisting in looking after us all.
