Sixers Day 9/07/16

Date: 11th Jul 2016 Author: Scout Websites

Wow what a day the sixers had on Saturday the 9th of July!

Sixers day is a day dedicated to all the sixers across Romsey district, we have bases throughout the whole day, the morning bases are linked with badges and skills the sixers would have learnt throughout there time at cubs for example home safety, orienteering, making pizza and lots more. After these bases we cook our own dinner over our own open fire which the cubs make, and in the afternoon the fun bases begin which include water rockets, water obstacle course, biscuit decorating and shooting. Thank you for all the sixers who took part from 21st Nursling and Rownhams: Freddie, Jazmine, Joseph and Eddie and thank you to Steve and Tony for running the shooting base the cubs loved it!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
