Pulborough

At Pulborough camping competition, we compete against other teams from the District. We light our own fires without leaders and melt marshmallows. Also we cook for ourselves and the leaders, who would go round and try the food. Before we went, they plan the programme and the menu. We also pitch our troop’s tents.During the camp we had regular inspections on our uniform and our tents. There was also a cooking competition every day and we were scored with points. To make it harder, we were in groups of 4-6 and had multiple ages and abilities. This year, we had too much mince and made 42 burgers!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
