Our Thanks to Paxhill Lodge

Date: 5th Mar 2017 Author: Scout Websites

Paxhill Lodge of Freemasons are a lodge of Scouting Members from all over Hampshire.

They have kindly donated £200 towards our Curtain funds. As the hall users will be aware we redecorated the hall giving it a fresh lease of life, however the curtains have been hanging (literally now) for a large number of years and have reached the end of their useful life. The group started fundraising shortly after the redecoration towards new curtains, blinds or whichever will work best for the environment and the mix of groups using the hall from the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Brownies, Community Youth Group, Retired Mens Fellowship…. the list goes on.

We would like to thank Paxhill Lodge and members for their kind donation which will be put to good use and will update them on the progress of the project.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
