Regular users of our H.Q. can’t fail to have noticed its transformation: dull green has changed to bright “Scout purple” and the walls have been returned to their original pristine white.

Many thanks to Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme for donating most of the funds for this, and to Jon (Fudge) Fouch of Brushworks Decorating for such a fine job, fitted-in to the Easter holidays so that it didn’t disrupt our programme.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
