Broadlands Fishing (Scouts) September 2012

Scouts visited Broadlands lakes on 21st September in the evening. It was dark and it rained but that didn’t affect the scouts enjoying the fishing experience. Well it wasn’t so much as fishing but fish!

We would like to extend our thanks to Cameron for arranging this exercise and for the Broadlands Lakes for having us.

Going back to the introduction there was only 1 fish caught during the exercise and this was by Laurence – Well done! He caught a carp which can be seen by the photo. In fact it was caught as we were about to pack up.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
