Beetle Drive

Date: 2nd Mar 2014 Author: Scout Websites

The annual Beetle drive took place on 1st March 2014 with 60 people attending. 12 very competitive games of Beetle were played with prizes going to the highest scoring male and female in the under 18 and over 18 age groups. A supper of fishcake or sausage and copious amount of chips was had half way through the evening and a raffle was held.

Everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves. A big thanks goes to those who organised the event and early indication shows that over £100 was raised for group funds.

Plans are being made for a summer event as we speak. Well done to all!!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
