21st Romsey Remembrance Garden

Date: 12th Nov 2023 Author: Scout Websites

The sections have been busy working on remembering the fallen.

Tina (Scout Leader & Deputy GSL) has been busy working on clearing the waste ground outside the Scout HQ and created a lovely Remembrance garden. A huge thanks to all the young people for their time in making the decorations, Leanne (Section assistant for Squirrels) for knitting poppies and Tina and for clearing, turfing and arranging this area. It looks fab.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
